How to ensure the printer is connected to the network
When you are trying to print from a network printer, you need to make sure the printer and the PC’s are connected to the same network. If they are not in the same network, you may not find the printer.
In order to check if they are all connected, you need to follow a few steps.
- Check if your printer is ON, the wireless button on the printer is turned on and it connects to the right network.
- If the printer is connected to other networks, you need to disconnect and reconnect to the right network.
- If you are using dual-band router, check whether it is set to the 2.4GHz band, if it is at 5GHz your printer may not connect to the network
- On your computer, check if the network connectivity is fine. Check the status of the connection
- As a final step, you may try to uninstall and reinstall the HP driver again
- Try printing a test print and it should print.
