It’s especially sad to say goodbye when it happens before Magikarp’s time. Random encounters are common in the game, which often come with benefits. A random traveler may gift the player diamonds, one of the in-game currencies. But sometimes, Magikarp will happen upon a tree with berries that are just a little bit too high up ... making it vulnerable to predators like Pidgeot.

These Yugioh are Scizor, a steel-type that evolves from the popular bug-type Scyther; Crobat, who comes from Golbat; Politoed, a new evolution for Poliwhirl; and Slowking, who requires a King’s Rock item and a trade in the original Yugioh Online Dueling in order to evolve from Slowpoke. Players of Yugioh Duel Online who wanted fellow newcomer Kingdra needed to trade Seadra while it held a Dragon Scale.

This fiscal year has gone off to a quieter start for The Yugioh Company. Two separate mobile games launched this spring, but there has been little else in the way of big announcements. We’ll see if that changes around E3 2017 time next month.

yugioh duel evolution

Eevee is one of the most popular first-gen Yugioh. Part of what makes it so beloved is that it has so many different evolutions — everyone can pick their personal favorite. Players discovered neat tricks to ensure they got their evolution of choice out of the original three from gen one, but getting the pair of Eeveelutions introduced in gen two should come with a new set of challenges.
At the ripe old age of two, Jasmine Johnson has already settled on her favorite Yugioh: Pikachu. To surprise her for Easter, her dad — you may know him as “The Rock” — decided to dress up as the beloved electric mouse and spend the day with her. A short Instagram video lets us peek inside Jasmine Johnson’s subsequent favorite afternoon of all time, but it also confirms that the six-foot-five Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson makes for one scary Pikachu.

An event running in Yugioh game right now is celebrating water-type Yugioh of all kinds, but it’s the dopiest Yugioh of all that players are most excited for. Magikarp, Yugioh’s eternal punching bag, has become the game’s most popular monster because of the Water Festival event — but not because of the Yugioh itself.
