We request you to type the name of a contact that is needed to be blocked on your Google chat account. You need to do it into the [Search Box] at the top of the chat list.
- Go to the [Search Box] and click [Chat]. It will enable you to open a chat window with that particular user. Also, click [Actions] menu in the chat window.
- Now you will need to select the blocking option. It will help you in blocking that contact. The contact (person) you are expecting to block will not get any notification unless you type a message into the opened window.
- You should also know that the blocking action will block a person across all Google's network you both are connected with.

- Go to the top portion of your chat list.
- Find the [Search] field and type the name of the concerned person.
